Get up and dance, proclaims Easy Wanderlings!

By Ranjini Achuthan

Makin’ My Move, the brand-new release by the soul pop outfit is, as the name suggests, for the under-lit, mid-tempo, groovy dancefloors.

Kanjira by featuring artist Varun Rajasekharan makes it’s subtle move, midway through the track, like a cue to the ensuing serendipitous guitar solo. The wanderlings time travel to the 70s for sure but make it their own by featuring Indian percussions just in the right doses even as they pine and contemplate about modern love in this restlessly eager digital dating era.

This second outing of Caught In A Parade by the band hits all the right spots with old school synth, sassy chorus, tight bassline and funky rhythm that makes the listener dwell on the timelessness of the genre; anybody can dance to a well-made disco funk! Vocals by Sharad Rao and Pratika sets the mood, harmonies work wonders, percussion are elusive yet important and keys and synth tingles that jukebox nostalgia.

The track releases a month after Enemy, their maiden release from their upcoming EP. Makin’ My Move is already creating all the right buzz amongst playlists on all streaming platforms!
